Event Category: Security Officer - Exposed Weapons Permit Initial

This class is for those who wish to become an armed security officer. This initial class is a two day class. Tuition for the Security Officer Initial Firearms Permit class is payable at the time of scheduling. Do not sign up for this class unless you plan on attending as open seats for this training are limited and there are no refunds or transfers of scheduled training. Please bring a photo ID. Also, you will need to show us a Certified copy of a Birth Certificate, Military I.D., DD-214, Passport or Certificate of Naturalization. A pad of paper and something to write with may be helpful. The first day of class will be lecture, discussion and a written test. You must pass a written multiple choice test with 85% correct, in English, without the assistance of a translator before advancing to the range on the 2nd day of class. You will need to provide and shoot a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition and you must wear clothing and a belt which will allow you to holster a firearm on the 2nd day of class. You will need a minimum of two magazines for a semi-automatic handgun and at least two speedloaders should you choose to shoot a revolver. Five shot revolvers are less than optimal for qualification. Loaner firearms may be available upon request. Please contact us with any questions you may have regarding this class. The 2nd day of class will generally be finished around 1pm.
